Experience the Historic Freemark Abbey Winery Wednesday at Cork & Barrel
June 19 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm EDT
Freemark Abbey winery in St. Helena can trace its roots to 1886 when Josephine Tychson, a Victorian widow, built and operated the original redwood cellar on the the estate, cultivated the land, and became the first female winemaker on record in Napa Valley.
In more modern times, Freemark Abbey was one of twelve U.S. wineries chosen to compete in “The Judgment of Paris” blind tasting.
Freemark Abbey was the only winery that presented both a red and a white wine in the competition – which catapulted Napa Valley onto the world stage.
This Wednesday, June 19th, we’ll be welcoming Barry Dodds who is the brand historian and ambassador for Freemark Abbey for an evening of stories and tastings of their iconic wines.
We have limited seating available for the program which will begin at 6:30 PM. Seats are $35 per person and will include a plated appetizer.
