April 2021 Wine Club Wines

Just an incredible line-up for the April Wine Club this month.

Or, as we say here . . “mask up . . and drink up!!!”

Borealis – White Blend – Oregon > Willamette Valley. Mouthwatering blend of Muller-Thurgau, Gewurtzraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris. Lots of peach, pear, guava and kiwi. You’ll want to pick up a second bottle for a perfect patio pour over the weekend!

Melini – Chianti Reserva – Italy > Tuscany. Aged for 18 months in French oak casks followed by 6 months in bottle prior to release. Ruby red color with raspberry, blackberry and a touch of violet.

Maddalena Vineyards – Zinfandel – California > Paso Robles. Zinfandel thrives in the warm days and cool nights of Paso Robles. Wild berry and ripe boysenberry notes are complimented by spicy oak from the barrel aging.

April’s “If You Insist” Wine Club:

2018 Gibbs – Cabernet Sauvignon

California > Napa Valley

The Cabernet grapes come from Gibbs estate vineyards in Saint Helena.

Aromas of black pepper and roasted French oak support a mid-palate of black currant, ripe black cherries and a long, textured finish.

Soft tannins make this vintage incredibly food friendly.
